    Honkey Tonk Pig in Winston Salem.. basically all carry out.. sauce is as good as I have ever had.. the best sides of any BBQ joint I have ever been to.

    Big Bobs in Monroe.. Alabama style BBQ chicken.. a must try if you are a BBQ nut as I am.

    Sweatman's BBQ.. Eutawville, SC.... this is a NOT TO MISS if you are ever down that way... cracklins.. pig ears and of course mustard based sauce.

    Cheeze if ever there needed to be a sticky this is it!!!!!

    I have to agree that Hillbillys in Lowell is good but Kyle Fletchers in Lowell/Gastonia is PHENOMENAL! Don't leave without trying the Onion Rings! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

    Also the little place right near East Rowan High School very good as well! Good even after a loss in the state tournament.

    Bridges in Shelby is another keeper! Especially their hushpuppies!

    Meadow Village Restaurant, 919-894-5430, I-40 East, Exit 334, 5 miles east of I-95.

    Barbecue is not their specialty but you'll forget that quickly. Buffet includes barbecue, fried oysters, shrimp, flounder, trout, crab cake, fat back, fried chicken, home-made vegetables.

    But what makes it worth the stop are the many desserts. Home-made pineapple cake, chocolate pie, coconut cake, banana pudding, many more.

    Don't miss it!

    Worth offering as a graduation present!
