Softball Bat rule in HS

    With NFHS enforcing the BB bat rule for 2012. Do we have any updates for the softball bat rule or will there be any changes or proposed changes for SB?

    This is the Baseball rule.. The rule changed is NFHS 1.3.2, which requires (starting 1/1/11) all non-wood bats to meet the Batted Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) standard. This is a much stricter standard than the old BESR standard. which is required for the 2012 season. This is the same rule for NCAA.

    Alot of HS BB players are now purchasing 2 or 3 wood bats for $25-30 each. Rather than paying $300 for a new BBCOR bat.
