You always hear about "SOFTBALL MOMS"...HOW about the "SOFTBALL DADS" that have to deal with DD's,and their precious mood swings or PMS that they call it just like "SOFTBALL MOMS,but the "SOFTBALL DADS" just don't understand the female mental ......from time of birth to 18 years of age,and beyond I'm sure it gets more interesting as our little precious DD's grow into young ladies....oh the make-up off,and on the field, and the dreaded "BOY FRIENDS", that want to take our DD's focus off the more important issues-----SOFTBALL ,OH YES jobs, cars, social life come in the picture also!!! Have you ever got the :iamwithstupid: attitude??? Little do they know we are a lot smarter than we appear...the endless hours of tee work, and throwing, and Run,Run,Run, you keep telling them this is for your own GOOD if you want to play college ball---HA,HA, they look at us with that :censored: look, that only a "SOFTBALL MOM" could LOVE !!!! C'mon dad I need that $269.00 bat that Susie has look how good it hits...Okay you say,but you are going to practice,practice....HA,HA again with those piercing eyes, and sad looks that only a "SOFTBALL DAD" could understand !!! Dang those looks that pierce a "SOFTBALL DADS" heart...My DD is going to have what others have..the best glove, the best bat,etc......no matter if I don't eat next week, she is going to have the best of the best what we keep telling ourselves....LOL....Don't you hollar at your DD,your wife might tell you...and you want to tell you lovely wife ''What Do You Know'' ???-----''You Are Just Like Her''......look in the mirror I tell myself !!! -- BUD--she is more like you...not to mention the nights on the couch or pacing the floor @ 2:00 A.M. in the morning prior to the "BIG TOURNAMENT" trying to figure out what to do to get my DD to hit the ball or throw smoother, SILLY ISN'T IT ??? Compulsive???, could be-----OH WEll !!!--- you carry on,and get over it,and your best buddies give you their advice on how you ought to act, and sometimes it sinks in,and sometimes it doesn't.....but don't worry if you forget how you acted your DD will remind you of how you acted the next time it occurs....FROM THE MOUTH OF BABES is a true statement!!!! My life has become like a softball, it's just hard sometimes to get a good grip on what is proper and improper...it could be a 60 mph fastball or a 45mph change-up, but whatever life brings you learn how to adjust to the pitch.

My DD has to earn a schloarship because I done spent all my money on bats, gloves, camps&clinics, pitching lessons, hotel & motel rooms, GAS, and a bunch of Gatorade but you know what I wouldn't change a single thing about it :gunsmilie: and would do it all over again !!!!!!!

PS Look me up this weekend GURU we are playing 16u

truer words could never be spoken. my dd and i have two relationships, pitcher coach relationship which sometimes gets a little rough :behead: and a father daughter relationship  it's funny, when we go practice it can get a little heated sometimes but after practice it's like two complete different people :frusty:

    You Never Know!

You never know what you had until it is gone. You only get one chance to do the right things for your families. We have all made the mistakes of pushing too hard, getting angry with bad attitudes and tearing down our relationships with our DD's. I like the "Guru" and "Daddy Dobber" will give my kid the best. We all need to do ourselves a favor. Put it in the Lord's hands and good things will come. Work on growing a closer relationship with your DD and become her best cheerleader. They will think you are nuts! Let them have fun at the game and teach them how to treat it like a job. My DD will graduate in 2 years so I am going to try and make it memorable.
