What to do with the ball.......

......is, ALL jokes aside, the heat. If a player in the field is not talking to theirself, prior to a pitch on EVERY pitch, then thats a COACHING problem! Not only will the kid think about what she/he will do with the ball, considering A or B or C situations, they'll move WITHOUT being told to give her the best advantage. Just like a kid on offense, say at 3B, and she sees a passball or wild throw. Do I go or not? How important is my tying or game winning run or should I let the pitcher worry about that? If a coach has to holler GO!!!, its too late. SmallBall and being outcoached by an opponent is a hard pill to swallow.
