    Okay..

    I'm pretty sure everyone needs to calm down.

    Ledford will be a top-notch team in 3A with Murphy. She is a great pitcher, and they will go far again next year.

    Central and East in the CCC will be a good battle, but East has always had a great team since Amanda Beck and Paige Coleman.

    East has starting pitcher returning, Spencer Embler, who had a good season this year.

    Central has two great pitchers returning for a few more years. They may have struggled with the bats this year, but they had a very young team. We graduated 5 seniors who all started last season, but technically lost 7 starters because 2 could not play this season. They will have much more confidence and experience next year. The never give up attitude will not leave that school, I can promise you that.

    Best of luck to CD in the states and I hope they win it all. Leonard is a great player and the younger girls will get to participate in something and quite possibly win a State Championship. They may never get there again, so go for it girls and bring it back to Davidson County.

    CD and East will be the class of the CCC in 2010 and both could make deep playoff runs behind good pitching and solid hitting.

    LHS will be strong as we only lose 3 starters and have Murphy in front of them to mow people down. SWR and Ledford will be in the same 3A league so I am sure we'll have our hands full and develop a new rivalry with them.

    ND is a great team and I hope they win also. They should be real good again next year with those two awesome pitchers.

    See everyone in 2010 so we can all talk it up some more about softball!

    In 2A I hope to see Central Davidson play Richlands. CD sent us home from the Creek in 06 and 08. Very impressed with Ms Leonard. Richlands beat us twice this year and I was impressed by their batters adjustments and discipline. Regardless of the final outcome getting to the Creek makes everyone a WINNER!!!

    WOW!

    RIPBALL, that's a bold statement......best pitcher at the creek? They had 7 losses this year didn't they? Have you saw all the pitchers? I used to play Fuquay (solid)in travel ball and I know for a fact the 3 pitchers for the west are very good...

    2A Playoffs

    Best pitcher in the state is Leonard from CD. She is flat out awesome and can dominate teams. She had 25 K's against Ledford friday night and keep in mind LHS only lost four games in 2009. Three of those losses came to E. Surry, N. Davdison and Central Davidson (teams in Raleigh this weekend). I'll stake my bet on Leonard as the top pitcher anyday. If she gets ahead of the batter, its over. Her movement, combination of pitches and speed make it nearly impossible to even get a hit. Best of luck at the Creek to Richlands, they'll need it.
