I don't know why you decided to use this site to voice a rant towards Impact or why you felt compelled to criticize me. As a long term member and a moderator of this forum, you know and fully understand what the purpose of this forum is for...and it's never included to attack someone or their organization. It polarizes the board and brings out the trolls whose only reason to post is to criticize. You have made your point many times throughout the years your dislike of Andy Partin's Impact Baseball, but to attack the polls they post is a bit puzzling.

Every coach across the state is asked to send information about their teams and records, but how many actually do?..less than 10%. Each year, Andy asks for help, but no one is willing to take the time. Two years in a row he has asked TBR for help...I sent all the moderators, including you, a PM asking for help to select the teams in the polls. You know how many responded?...zero. Nobody wanted to get involved. So I'm wondering how any moderator on TBR can criticize something they didn't want to be a part of.

You had a perfect opportunity to promote and influence the teams in the mountains in regards to the statewide polls, but chose not to. Every year you were instrumental in providing information about what is going on with the teams and players in the mountains. It was great to get to know who the players are and where many of them were going to college. I know the players and their parents appreciated the exposure you were giving them...and to stop doing that simply to try to make a point, imo, is unfair to the players and parents in the mountains that enjoyed reading your posts and getting some exposure...and that's what TBR is about---highlighting a young man's performance that contributed to his team's success.

There are some people that are not fans of Impact Baseball or Andy Partin for whatever reason: That's fine. But they don't use TBR to voice their personal concerns. The same standard holds true for all the other programs across the state. I'm sure every member of this board, including me, have people involved with amateur baseball that we dislike; coaches, players and event organizers, but that's what PM's are for- to discuss privately our concerns about an individual or organization that we think would affect them---happens every day.

Obviously, you are frustrated with the lack of attention to the hard working, deserving teams and players in your part of the state. That's why I asked you to become a moderator---to help in any way you can to do our small part to give them that attention--and you have been instrumental in accomplishing that. But don't stop doing it just because you are wanting to make a point. Who will it affect?----certainly not Impact Baseball.

Agree with what you have said. However most coaches will not participate in polls and you know why. And most of us fans/parents don't know enough to participate in an educated manner. I wouldn't mind sharing game data but I'm not qualified to say who is good and who isn't. heck, all I can do is offend someone.

As to Impact, it's a polarizing subject. Impact has done a lot of good. It has brought attention to young men and that did not always happen. It has spun off competition which is always good and created more opportunities for young men. But it does not come without some baggage, preceived or real. And unfortunately I don't see that changing. I won't go into details because all it will do is start an argument that nobody wins But then no one knows the subject of showcase and Impact as well as you. Personally I don't see Impact being as strong as it once was. New programs have sprung up that have credibility. An ultimately all this is good for kids. Whether he meant to or not, Andy has had some impact on this (no pun intended). Sure, Andy makes a living at this. Isn't that what this country is about? Freedom to make a living. But I can't help but think Andy has some passion for the game.

I believe much of the negative feelings that are out there are bred from jealousy... wouldn't most of us quit our "day jobs" in a heartbeat if we could do the same thing Andy does with some of the best young ball players, and young men, this state has?
Also, I'm sure he does have a "passion for the game". But, his passion for the players, and their success, I believe is even greater.

I have never met Mr. Partin, but have been involved in TB and showcase for years through my sons. I think he does a great job getting his players and other players opportunities they may not have otherwise had. We all know that you will be lucky to recoup half of what you have spent on baseball over the years. That is not what it is all about. Finding what level your son fits in and allowing him the opportunity to continue playing should be the goal. My goal for my boys is to play until they are ready to stop, not to be stopped due to lack of exposure. Impact is one of may avenues available. Choose one that fits your sons ability and desire and you will not have reason to take issue with ay organization.
