    For those of you who don't know, while out having a cocktail or two (maybe more...) Saturday night after a long day at the fields, WndMillR had his truck broken in to. They basically cleaned him out taking everthing that was in the truck including his glove and a team jersey. Hope they find these yahoo's and let WndMillR have a little 'alone time' with them.

    I also hated to hear this happened to Coach Charlie. It was right outside of the Hyatt, a nice motel, and Jock's & Jill's.

    It's very sad to say people can't visit Charlotte without this type of stuff happening. You can replace the GPS, cameras, and stuff, but when you take a man's or a woman's ball glove, that is not good! I have grown to respect Coach Dobbins very much, and he is a tremendous asset to our sport. I also wish we could find the culprits, and give them their just punishment!

    It's not an isolated crime...it's a business

    That's is basically what the cops told me.....

    They prey on visitors to Charlotte.
    As info, Renaissance and Mallard Creek softball complexs
    are prime grounds for theft each weekend....

    We live in a world where we have to be a little smarter and allot less trusting....

    I liked the old world.......................thank goodness for insurance

    ps.... if anyone happens to see a black PC jersey roaming the streets of Charlotte...ok with me to implement a little bat testing......
    would love to know the exit speeds..............

    it could have been that umpire that you were disputing his call!!! Always pays to be nice to the umps!!

    Couldn't have been that ump....

    his eyesite wasn't good enough to see all of that stuff that you had in your truck!! Just kidding around...sorry that you had to experience that. One of our parents had their car broken into at the hotel last year at the same tournament....sad thing is, the thief probably sold the stuff for a fraction of its worth.

    Talked with one of Charlotte’s finest this morning and he advised Renaissance Park had nine car break-ins in a 30 minute period one week ago. It happened on Saturday in broad daylight. He advised not to leave anything of value in your car at any park in the Charlotte area. It appears to be an organized group committing these crimes. It wouldn’t hurt to check places like the local “Play It Again” Sports or the local pawn shops to see if you can find your items.

    Hate it happened Charlie.

    Guy busted Sunday

    Heard (from Charlie) Sunday morning that they caught some guy walking through the hotel parking lot (?) with a Ford key trying to unlock cars. At least they got one of them...

    Perhaps the organizers should work with local law enforcement when they have these large tournaments to at least get marked cars to randomly drive through the hotel and park parking lots. It won't stop it but it might prevent a few.
