I know of another coach that is going there. He will receive a much better deal than he would receive in Mecklenburg. Theses guys have families to support.

    Interesting....

Wonder why so many coaches are leaving "supposedly" great situations in "supposedly" great schools and the CMS system??? More than what is on the surface YOU BET! Who is the other one Bravo? Can tell you a couple more around my side of the street!

I have known Bill for almost 20 years...all the way back to when he was the head coach at Spaugh Jr High. I think calling him a moron without knowing his situation is unfair.

As Braves pointed out, deals outside of CMS are much sweeter. this is also a chance for Bill to build a program from scratch instead of inheriting a powerhouse. Like any coach, he wants to be challenged. I think he will do a great job there. He has learned a lot over the years from some great HS football minds. He put that to work this year for Independence.

I wish him nothing but the best of luck.

Indy is losing alot of talent this year - even with the same staff thier run is over. They may still win more than they lose but I doubt they repeat as champs and the winning streak will end in the regular season.

I dunno Wossa...while I believe their streak may end..they have athlete after athlete to fill the roles. Their JV team has a 35 game win streak. I'm not sure they will have the passing attack....but...there isn't anybody in Charlotte that will stop their streak.

CMS isn't a great place to coach.
