Quite a few turnovers but South Caldwell held AC to about 3 yards of offense the second half. South Caldwell played their worst game of the year the previous week and they weren't going to let that happen again and AC took them too lightly. AC's defense wasn't even noticed and South ran the ball at will. SC just wanted it more. You could just see it in their effort. SC even fumbled the opening kickoff on about the 40 yard line but SC held AC. SC then threw an interception on their first play from scrimmage and again held AC. SC's defense was just awesome. They came to play that's for sure. We hate we had to play each other the first round because these boys have been playing against each other since middle school and have a lot of respect for each other. AC typically gets a lot of unsportsmanship like calls, but not against SC because they like each other as players and have always respected each other. You don't like to take your fellow conference teams out until later in the play-offs. Good luck to Bowles. Hope he gets to play somewhere in college.

South definitely came out to play. Brad Hardee had a game of his life on both sides of the ball. AC looked like a completely different team from the previous week. It is a shame that the two teams had to play each back to back. There is a lot of controversy on the AC quarterback situation. I don't know if a different qb would have made a difference in this game or not. I mean, the qb can't tackle Hardee and he can't block him. The offense couldn't get anything clicking and South couldn't be stopped it seemed like. Seems like AC took them lightly. AC had a good season. Coach Harper and Deal seem to be turning the program around. Good luck to all the AC seniors in whatever you do!!
