What a game this should be. No doubt both teams are capable of winning, but SC should have another victory. South's bats are really swinging and their pitching staff is tough. AC threw Payne Friday night so who knows who South will face. AC will prolly see Reid on the hill and the way he is throwing there is not much hope for AC.

What does everyone else think ?

whoever's pitching is on will be the one who takes this game. Both teams are hitting the ball pretty well, so i think that whoever is pitching has to do the job. Maybe ACHS has the advantage because of homefield. Both are good teams and this game is huge.

ALEXANDER CENTRAL 3 SOUTH CALDWELL 0

Alexander Central gave South Caldwell their first loss of the season 3-0. Hollifield pitched a three hitter and had 7 strikeouts. Hollifield also led off the fourth will a home run to give ACHS a 1-0 lead.
Hollifield with 2 for three and Orren with 2 for 2 and two walks led ACHS.

The Cougars from Alexander Central capitalized on their chances tonight and the Spartans didnt hit or get many chances. Reid picked up the loss for the Spartans. The Spartans were limited to 3 hits. The conditions for the game were miserable. Wet field and extremely cold. The Cougars and the Spartans are now in a tie for first in the extremely competitive NW4. The Spartans play again on Friday as they host Watauga.

The Cougar pitching is starting to do what it was expected to do, DOMINATE. The last two games, a No hitter by Payne, and tonights 3 hit shutout by Hollifield.

    achs wins game

Cougars, you played an awesome game tonight! You were ready for this game. Great game by Jeremy Hollifield on the mound and with a home run over the center field fence!!!!!! I was really suprised that the game was able to be played. It was cold, but not as cold as it was at the softball game on Monday. Once again, congratulations, COUGARS!

Now you Spartan fan's dont start crying due to the weather and the field condition's. Both teams played on the same field, the difference was the fact the South overlooked ACHS. There will be another game between the 2 so that one will be a game to see..

i said early in the season; " if ya think Payne is all ACHS has, you are in for a surprise"... Payne and Hollifield have only allowed 1 earned run each in the 5 conference games between them..
