I think this game deserves some special attention. A great matchup between 2 of the most talented teams in the state. Both teams are playing great baseball now and are ready to collide in an intriguing, exciting matchup.

South Caldwell has been well, PERFECT, all year posting an 18-0 record i believe and just coming off a thrilling 11 inn. win over E. Rutherford. They are big, strong, and fast and have tons of talent. I'd say one of the more physically intimidating teams around. They beat Crest 10-0, and ER 3-2 to advance to championship play

Charlotte Christian has been lights out of late, posting a 20-5 record and winning 13 straight games and 19 of 21. They've played great competition from all over the southeast and are led by 10 seniors, 7 of which have signed to play college ball. They beat Burns 6-2 and Shelby 8-2 to advance to championship play

Let me hear some of TBR's thoughts on this game, gimmee some insight on both teams, who has the advantages where? let me know of your predictions and what to expect from both teams

I'd say this is a don't miss game tomorrow night, shelby hs should expect a big crowd, great baseball, and some intense action. and im praying the rains hold off, 2 great teams ready to battle it out. Be there 7pm tomorrow night DONT MISS IT! :ylsuper:

Wow...this is the game everybody has been waiting for. I'm assuming the matchups tomorrow will be Bard and Gragg. Two of the best in the state.

I like the way that CC has turned it up a notch after a slow start. Everybody on their team can hit and play good defense...and they are all battle tested. Plus CC seems to elevate their game when they play with a chip on their shoulder..and this game will certainly have that.

BUT...Even though they are undefeated, I'm glad to see SC have a couple of close games. It proves they know how to win. And I think that SC plays with a chip on their shoulder, too.

As much as I like Gragg, I can't help but reiterate what Dynasty said. Jared Bard is a warrior. He will battle you until you drag him off the mound. He doesn't give in...and he never gives up.

There is no way I could predict the winner; but I will tell you what the winner will have....fewer errors then their opponent.

    Pitching- even
    Hitting- CC
    Defense- don't know

    SC vs. CCS

Indeed, what a game this should be. SC should be ready for this game after edging by ER tonight...CCS hasn't really been tested thus far in the tournament. SC has some live arms available, with Gragg starting and other in relief, not sure what CCS has left. CCS has been pounding the ball, and the SC bats better come alive. Let's just hope the rain holds off and allows for thsi fine game to be played!!!

    South Caldwell vs. Charlotte Christian

Everybody has been waiting to see if these two teams would ever get to duke it out... and now they both are. Friday night is going to be intense to say the least. Bard is on the bump for Christian and Gragg is on the bump for South Caldwell. Both teams can really hit but CCS has 17 hits and 14 runs in only two games. That is pretty impressive, but with Gragg pitching vs the Knights, can Christian rise to the hype and beat undefeated South Caldwell? In my mind, I think Christian is going to be more than ready to play. This game is going to be intense... people who want to see one of the best games of the year need to be at Shelby tomorrow night at 7. :ylsuper:

how do you rate the two teams CC had to play to get to this game vs the two teams SC had to play? You think CC had to burn about the same amount of pitching to get to this game. I don't know anything about the teams other than what i heard about ER.
