South Piedmont finals tonight

    The South Piedmont Conference Tournament finals are tonight at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. for the girls championship with Concord, unbeaten in league play, taking on Hickory Ridge (tied second in regular season with JM Robinson). The boys championship will be around 7:30 p.m. with Concord (one loss in regular conference season) versus A.L. Brown (second during regular season).

    The games will be broadcast on Radio Free Cabarrus beginning at 5:45 p.m. with Mark Plemmons and John Voncannon
