rudy brown and walker snow can shut down an offense on any given day. lane is offensive sparkplug. wagner, brown, corriher all good hitters. solid team that has great chemistry, plays as a team, hustles, and knows how to win tight games.

Any conversation about South Rowan's offense has to start with 2b Daniel Wagner (Belmont University). Hes recorded a hit in every game hes playin in and is batting nearly .500 w/ 9 hrs (5 in the playoffs) and around 50 rbis.

Question for any South Rowan followers...

Is this the first time that South Rowan has ever made it as far as the 3rd round of the legion playoffs? I know they went a couple rounds a few years ago, but there's been so much talk this summer about this being one of South's best teams ever and they've won more games than any previous South team, etc.,,,,,,,,,,, is the 3rd round unchartered waters for them?

I've followed Legion ball for 7 years, & I'm pretty sure this is SR's best run.

I watched them twice this season, & they're interesting. You feel as though they're the underdog hanging by a thread...and then they beat you. Fundamentally sound. Good speed. Pitchers not dominating but effective.

Best compliment: they play as a team. They have the chemistry thing going.

They also do the "little things" well that add up over the course of a ballgame, specifically sacrifice bunting and advancing runners.

Randolph County has been crushing the ball at the plate. I think they have won 15-16 in a row as well.
