Good for SM. Two big wins for them. (of course SM is now 4-3.....losing the last 3)No excuses were ever offered by Weddington for the 2 L's. I'm sure these two wins for SM will be Thanksgving day lunch discussion for you. If you do not make the plays, you most likely will not win. Now go win your conference. Good luck, your now tied for last.

    You're Right

With the new bats all wins are big wins.

    Weddington exhibits great sportsmanship.

Winning the sw4a will be tough. SM will get Thornton and Buttrey again just like last time.

see my post below, and don't assume that tatersalad has a dog in the fight at Weddington or that he/she was discussing teams outside of the SCC, like SW4A powerhouse SM.

Especially since he says very CLEARLY states: " No one in this conference can stand........."

So, no, we didn't see this coming.

Thank you. As does SM! Many friends over there and many good kids and families.

But it sure is fun to battle with you on the board as well as the field.

    see you soon DK.....DC

    Sorry...

Didn't mean to raise a ruccus between SM and WHS...didn't realize there was that much fussin goin on.

It did raise an interesting question though. If you had to go "all-in" on a team in a one and done game, which team would you bet on? Let's narrow down the choices to SCC, SPC and SW4A....

Which team and who is the starter?

I'll go first....I'll take a healthy WHS and Bostic on the mound to start. No disrespect to Buttrey, he is phenomenal, but I like the chemistry and enthusiasm on this Weddington team.

Not familiar enough with all of the teams from the SPC to comment. Within the SW4A....Providence/ Buttrey or Campagna- is where I'd place my bets. They just have to many weapons. Within the SCC...Weddington/ Bostic or Shellhorn- is very strong (even with the injuries), followed closely by MR. Coach Mennitt gets the absolute most out of his teams. One and done....anything can happen.

    Format

One and done is just not a good format.

It was written in a post that Campagna had a bad hamstring, but he must have healed. Heard he hit anohter home run and is pitching very good.

If a basketball game breaks out, Providence should win easily! I think the whole team is over 6' 2".

1down22togo - even though Weddington is "country strong" I may have to change my vote. A healthy Campagna is a difference maker in any game.

How about another question... You have a game on the line in the last inning of a key game, who do you want at the plate? Same conferences - SPC, SCC, SW4A.

    My vote - Corey Seager
