    Smoke = Leslie Jury

    Guru, the young lady you are speaking of is Leslie Jury. She played ball with my daughter for several years when they were younger and played on several teams that I coached. She has worked hard through the years to get where she is today. God blessed her with the physical ability and she has put it to use. Her HS team JL Mann has played for the past two 3A SC state championships, only to come up short both times. Great kid with good parents. Hard to believe she is only a HS freshman that just turned 15 in April!

    I Like Her Swag !!!

    She is very confident on the mound...She reminds me of Jennie Looper that now plays for A&T !!

    When you've been throwing 60 MPH since you were 11 years old, you tend to build up some confidence.

    Dad said she started throwing 100 pitches a day, 5 days a week, I think when she was 9.

    I metioned her awhile back one here and was ripped pretty good about what I said she threw. Even though I have seen it and clocked it myself. It wasn't possible! When some lucky D1 program brings her in everyone will see.

    Nah, they still won't believe what we saw 2 or 3 years ago.

    D-1 Prospect For Sure

    If she stays healthy, Leslie will definitely end up at a D-1 school. I know that she has already been on campus at Alabama. Last I talked with her dad, they were here favorite. But, she has 3 more years of HS ball. She has a lot of time to make her decision. She has been to California with dad to play with a W. Coast team in the past. Dad says she didn't like Cali. I for one hope she stays east of the Mississippi.
