This is Casey Shue the freshman catcher from Concord...I'm so disppointed about not making all-conference...guess theres always a next year...but sometimes its hard to look ahead when you get hit with a disppointment like this...

    Always look ahead

Casey U must always strife to get better at everything U do. I have heard you are very good for your age and maybe U should have made all-conference but instead of wondering why or feeling bad about it, set a goal to improve at every facet of your game so next year there can be no question that U are the best catcher. Improve your quickness, leadership, power, or any aspect of your game that needs more work. Treat this as a challenge. There will always be disappointment in our lives, it is how we handle those situations that make us special or just another player and or person. Handle this one with class and U will reap the benefits U deserve.
Wish U the best and I know U will work hard to be the best U can be in the classroom and on the field! RET

Casey I don't know you and I really don't know what to say. What I do know is that you made a big difference in the Concord HS softball team this year. Just hang in there, work hard in the classroom, and on the softball field, good things will come your way.

Accept it for what it is....a disappointment...a good healthy life is full of them... Use it to motivate yourself to work harder for the chance of success in every aspect of your life. Your time will come!

    VERY AGGRESSIVE BALL PLAYER

Casey , Abbey fan is right,I feel your pain, but in essence what he has said is correct, he is a man of knowledge, and he wouldn't lead you astray...people know how hard you work behind the plate, and in the end you will get what you deserve..we have played against you twice this year, and my suggestion to you as a fellow human being is not to put so much pressure on yourself to carry the team..each and every player has a job to do...Abbey fan has given the Guru much wisdom over the past few weeks, and he can give it to you also...KEEP LOVING THE GAME AND IN DUE SEASON YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW !!!---- GURU

Casey, we've met before, but you might not remember me, and that's ok. but in the five years that i've coached hs ball, conference selections have always amazed me. P O L I T I C S. How about a girl in her sophmore year, pitcher, strikes out 19 in a game, wins the game with her bat, records over 100 k's that year and keeps her team middle of the conference, not one vote. What i'm trying to say is that all conference is not always based on the better player. I cant explain it any other way, how else could an infielder who committed 11 errors in the three games we played them, make all conference (this happened some years ago).Take everyones advice, chin up and show em what ya got next year. this is the advice i gave out freshman catcher this year, she got two votes, it took three. she went up against a three time all state selection and the nat blanton from crest. bet she gets it next year!!!!
