    tj, there's been a change in the schedule for next week. NW will host the Tigers on Tuesday and NW will travel to Mt. Pleasant on Friday. No Saturday game.

    Another change in the schedule this week. The varsity game has been moved up to 4:30 tomorrow afternoon at NW. The JV game scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to Thursday, 5:00 at NW. Friday games are still on go for the Trojans to travel to Mt. Pleasant. All of this is weather pending.

    Cox Mill at Hickory Ridge

    Today's Cox Mill at Hickory Ridge game has been to rescheduled to tomorrow at 6:30 with the impending rain forecasted for later today.

    this is why I stated on an earlier thread that his infield defense would not give him much support. He is electric though!

    Hickory Ridge wins 4 to 3 with 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th over Cox Mill. Cox Mill played great ball until some walks and errors creeped up in that last inning. Winning run scored on a bases loaded wild pitch. Zach Andrews picked up the win for Hickory Ridge. The Bulls play Weddington Thursday at home and at Cox Mill on Friday.

    A.L. Brown held off Central Cabarrus 12-9 for its first SPC win.
    Catcher Ryan Blackmon (3-for-3) had a monster game for the Wonders, totaling seven RBIs with a three-run homer, a solo homer, a two-run single and a bases-loaded walk.
    Dylan May went 2-for-2 with a homer.
    Zach Jones, the winning pitcher, also contributed two hits. Eldon Peters worked the last two innings and got the last out with two Vikings on base.
    Brandon Porter hit a three-run homer for Central.
    “Blackmon had a great game,” Thompson said. “And it was good to see us finally make a lot of good plays in the field.”
