    Robinson 10 Cox Mill 7

Gritty comeback from a depleted Charger team comes up short at Cox Mill tonight. The injury bug continues to bite the Chargers ( 7 - 8 ). Next week it's @ Myers Park on Monday, then at Central Cabarrus Tuesday before finishing the week on Friday at home against Vikings.

Hickory Ridge wins 9 to 4 over Kannapolis. Jarrod Brown hit 2 home runs and Blake Sides picked up the win on the mound and also homered. Kannapolis player hit a Grand Slam to account for their runs but I don't know his name. Weyco????

Final Two Weeks of Reguler Season

With the SPC regular season winding down, what are some thoughts on the season so far? Which teams have played above their heads, and which ones have had a disappointing season thus far? What players have had great seasons? etc.

    Great seasons
    Brody Koerner and Corey Seager

If someone has a better era in the SPC than Brody please post it.

If someone has a better on base percentage in the SPC than Corey please post it.

I don't think anyone has played above their heads but Robinson has to play Mt. Pleasant and Hickory Ridge to close out their SPC regular season. Could be a tall order??

With Concord showing a late surge I think top to bottom the SPC is as strong as any 3a Confrence in the state. You can not take a nap on any team on any given night. A.L. Brown has some great pitching and a super JV team this year as well.

What is Koerners E.R.A. and Segars O.B.P? Are the S.P.C. stats listed somewhere?

Hats off to the Mavericks. Great defense and solid outing for #11 on the mound for the Mavs. Sophomore second baseman Kirk Morgan led MC with 3 hits.
Will Miller homered for the Trojans who have A.L. Brown at NWC, jvs at 4 and varsity 630.

KNUCKLES-- I don't know of any open database on players stats. Brodys ERA, if you look at the first game for Jrob in conf where he has pitched these are the run totals(which may not be all of his) 0-1-2(one run was not his in that game)2-3..thats somewhere around 1.4..he still has to face Mt. Pleasant and Hickory Ridge.

As for Seager, he has been pitched around and intentionally walked quite a bit this season. His is solid defensively with great speed and a cannon for an arm. Hits with power and high average as well.

I trust all the coaches from the SPC who vote for the SPC MVP will get it right.
