Good win for Coach Shue's Concord game. Does anyone have the details?

 

All I know is that Concord led 3-1. Piedmont scored a run in the fifth and one in the sixth to tie it, but Concord was able to push one across in the bottom of the seventh to win it. Piedmont didn't swing it well. They hit Brenk hard towards the end, but hit it right at people. Sophomore Patrick Jenkins started on the bump for the Spiders and kept Piedmont off balance most of the way, and Brenk finished it up.

 

Dont' know Coach Shue personally, but have already heard many good things about him. He has Ryan Petty, who was one of our better (former AL Brown HS and Kannapolis Legion) players to coach his JV's,,, and he also invited Garrett Sherrill out to work with his young pitchers before Garrett had to report to Arizona training camp.

Its obvious Coach Shue is very interested in bettering that program, and it sounds like he will,,,, (or maybe I should say), he already has.

 

I know he wants to build a "program". tj, he can always use additional quality assistants, so if you can help him in this area, let him know. He wants to be like Providence where Hignight has about 16 coaches.
