    Well, I embarrassed myself again.

I've been watching Stephon (Coach Step) McQueen conduct his speed, agility, strength conditioning over at Grand Slam in Raleigh and I have been very impressed. So much so that I mentioned he could fill a class easily with the number of players we have in our area. So he started a class. I sent out emails to kids I know in addition to telling some in person. So how many showed up? Zero--counting the ones who need to!!

Considering that speed and agility is one of the most overlooked learnable skills in the sport of softball it is very disappointing that no one is taking advantage of this opportunity. Especially since the cost is so low. $10 per 1-hour intense training, twice a week. You don't beat that price. And you won't beat the training.

This is just the second week so there is still time but the sessions become more intense as they progress.

You'll get all the softball skill training you can handle when school season starts but if you can't get to the ball or throw or hit as hard as you could with the right strength your game will not be what it could have been. There's not much time for speed and agility training once the season starts. It takes about 5 weeks to realize the benefits of the speed and agility training. That comes out to about $100. That's less than the price of a weekend softball clinic.

I'm watching him work a team that is working on their own initiative outside of their school without coaches. I'm dying to see them when the season opens! I know it will have a major impact on their game.

Don't the coaches of your high school conduct these workouts, our coaching staff has been working all the softball players that are not envolved with other sports since the second week of school....

PS: another benfit of these work outs is that most lose at least two size's
at least there are a few smiles about that...

    You said it right........

...I can vouche for that. My DD is involved with those workouts with Stefon. He is working those girls so hard. I can already see a difference in my DD. As for other girls who were offered these sessions... shame on you for not going. It is so beneficial to have that type of training from such a reputable trainer. And when his cousins helps out, look out. My DD comes home dragging after each session.
