Spencer Steedley (East Rowan, Charlotte 49er) made his MLB debut against the Cardinals today in the Grapefruit League. Steedley joins former East Rowan and Rowan County Legion teammate, Bobby Parnell, in the major leagues. Steedley has little chance to make the opening day roster of the Twins, but could be a call up later in the season. Spencer was an A-10 all conference player twice as a hitter and a pitcher while at Charlotte.

Another great product of East Rowan's incredible baseball program! Best of luck, Spencer--we're proud of you!

He is going to pitch today against the Yankees on ESPN.

F/U--Didn't get in the game. Maybe later this week against the Sox.
