Sports Education with Substance

    https://nfhslearn.com is an excellent site for sports education courses. Many courses are free. Some of the courses are also required to coach in NC, and most other states. Below are just a few of the courses available.

    • Engaging Effectively With Parents
    • Sportsmanship
    • Concussion in Sports
    • Fundamentals of Coaching
    • Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment
    • First Aid, Health And Safety For Coaches
    • Coaching Softball

    These courses are very informative and easy to take. Many can be completed in less than a half hour. Some may take a half day or more. After successfully completing the course you are awarded a certificate with a unique certificate number that is entered into a national database.

    Check out their website. While you're there take the Concussion in Sports course for not only the education but to see how easy it is to take courses. That particular course will be required of all NC coaches by August of next year. It is already required for many. It should take less than an hour to complete—easily.
