    just curious??

does she swing and miss the out side pitches, does she hit them up the middle or to the SS, or does she just look at them and complain they are outside??? most quick swingers (Early) hate outside pitching.

has she ever been taught where point of contact is for various pitches??
ie. inside, middle , outside. Points of contact are different with location. Does she try to hit pitches to different field based on pitch location..

DD and Sons were taught a quick bat with a strong metal approach allows more time to execute a productive swing. Develop patience and recognition and she will dominate.

I agree. It could be exactly what she is doing. If that's the case, the reason that she does ok on the tee is possibly because the tee is being placed to compensate for hitting the outside of the ball. They should be able to set the tee even with the front foot and drive the ball directly over 2nd when hitting the inside of the ball. If not they need to adjust the hands inside the ball. Then progress to live pitching or machine seeking the same results--up the middle.

    Hands

Sounds like she may be top hand dominate with her swing, if that is the case she will hit alot of pitches on the ground inside the 3rd base bag or pop ups out of play, based on point of contact. She may not be leading with her hips, getting the hips open before the hands go will give her a chance to hit the inside or any other pitch between the lines. I would work on getting her to hit the ball off her back hip, the hips must open frist for this to happen and even if she is top hand dominate she can still get to the inside pitch, chanches are she won't hit off her back hip but she will not be as far out in front either, sort of a compromise between the two. You can tell alot by the path of the ball off the bat, topspin grounders are a result of an uppercut swing, hooking balls foul are a result of rolling over the pitch with the top hand, and just like FL in WCWS hitting all those foul balls against GA, the pitch selection has alot to do with it, maybe they could have set up alittle off the plate and kept those balls fair, or moved up in the box to get the ball before it breaks. Just something to think about, good luck with the adjustments.
