    Crest Vs W. Rowan

Well it looks like the Crest dream season is on it's way from being over. West Rowan just killed them 18-2 beating the Chargers Ace Daniel Folk. I wasn't there and dont really know if Folk was on his A game tonight or what, but I do know that they have a lot of work to do before they travel up to Rowan this Tuesday. Good Luck Chargers. You might need it.

Daniel Folk did not pitch for Crest, Adam Hamrick was the starting pitcher and Matt Gold was the second pitcher. Patrick Adams pitched a solid game and the West Rowan team came to play ball. They hit and ran the bases aggressively.

    18-2??????

18-2,,,, Are you kidding me about this score???

For those of you that don't know, West Rowan started the season beating teams like this,,, but their bats later cooled some. They have an awful strong hitting team 1-9 and if they start swinging like this again,,,, they will be awful hard to beat...

West has a little "thing" called defense too, and they also have a very strong #2 pitcher, which Crest will meet next Tuesday...

I will say it again,,,, that we are talking about the next state champions...

    Crest Chargers

I'm not much of one to comment on the games that I've seen this year but I just wanted to take time to let all you folks out there know what a class team these young men are.

I just watched them lose 2 really tough games, each on the opposite ends of the spectrum as baseball games go. The emotions surrounding games like these are tremendous to say the least but these young men never showed anything but class and respect for the game. It is a refreshing sight to see in HS sports, and one not seen nearly enough. They are indeed a tribute to their parents and coaches.

Congratulations to the Chargers on a terrific year that fell just short. You have done your familes, your school, and your conference proud. Good Luck.
