Crest moves on with a 3-1 win over East Gaston. Another great pitching performance out of Daniel Folk. The Chargers now await the winner of TC Roberson/Ashbrook. :xyzthumbs

    LET'S GO CHARGERS!

HELL OF A GAME. BOTH PITCHERS BATTLED THE WHOLE GAME. BENSON STARTED FOR ROBINSON AND PITCHED 8 STRONG INNINGS AFTER THROWIN 3 ON TUESDAY. HE STRUCK OUT 8 AND WALKED ONLY 2. JMR SCORED ALL OF THEIR RUNS IN THE 1ST 3 INNINGS AND JUST COULDNT SCORE AFTER THAT. HELL OF A SEASON FOR JAY M ROBINSON AFTER WINNING A TOTAL OF 5 GAMES LAST YEAR.

woo hoo - way to go for the Tri County conference.

#11 would be Zack Strickland. Was he the starter? Looks like Eastern will get more shot at Ragsdale if the Tigers can beat West Rowan tomorrow.

    TC Roberson vs Ashbrook

    TC Roberson 11, Ashbrook 6

With Wes McCall on the mound, Ashbrook jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 2 innings. In the top of the third Roberson loaded the bases with 2 walks and a double by freshman Justin Jackson. Wes Williams worked the count full and then hit a grand slam to tie the game. Roberson went on to score three more times in the inning to take a 7-4 lead. They extended the lead to 9-4 in the fourth on a 2 run HR by catcher Blair Wells.

    WP - Mitch Hefner
    LP - Wes McCAll

    TCR now 25-0

    Next at Crest on Tuesday

    Hey Gang,
This is the first time I've had on the computer since Friday night's game. I want to congratulate T.C. for their win at Ashbrook. TC was up to the challenge in front of a tremendous crowd and, for whatever reason, Ashbrook was not.

The Ashbrook seniors took little solice in having accomplished so much over the past four years. From winning only 4 games total as freshmen, to going 52-8 over the past two tears including a State Championship. But, for we who are parents, the Ashbrook faithful and the city of Gastonia, want to thank you guys for bringing the excitement of playoff baseball into our lives!

And to those who think that Ashbrook baseball may be "down" next year...keep dreaming! Five starters (four all-conference) and two parttime starters return, including three topnotch pitchers. Martin, Bogaert, Duncan, Harris and Maples will not let Ashbrook's streak of state playoff wins decrease! And I predict that Michael Bogaert will take over McCall's dominance as the team's ace.

Good luck to Sammy, Steve, Clay and Wes as you pursue your dreams at the next level! Work hard, play hard and keep all of us smiling here in Gastonia! We're Proud!!!
