    Crest is finally showing what many of us in the SWF 3A have known for a while. Crest is one of the most fundamentally sound teams in the state. They do not have a list of superstars, but a well prepared group of kids who know how to play the game and win. The coach at Crest does a great job. Just ask East Rutherford. One of the East Rutherford's losses this year was to Crest.

    From an East Rutherford perspective.

    Crest does not make many mistakes. Their first four or five hitters are as good as anyone we faced this year. Especially Matt Haynes, Crest Catcher. In the 3 games we played Crest this year he must have hit 900. Their defense is good but their hitting is their strength.

    Crest represents one of East Rutherford's 2 losses on the year. The other loss was to South Meck.

    Good luck to Matt and the rest of the Chargers! Bring home another state title to our neck of the woods! :applause: :applause: :applause:

    TC Roberson vs Crest

    Crest 11, TC Roberson 5

    TCR jumped out to a 4-1 lead after 2 innings and looked like they were going to roll, but Crest scored 1 in the 3rd and 3 in the 4th to take a 5-4 lead. From that point on, they were in control of the game. Crest is very well coached and fundementally sound in all aspects of the game. Junior RHP Daniel Folk threw a complete game seven hitter and hit a 3 run HR. They also got HR's from Matt Clary and Matt Gold.

    Best of luck to the Chargers as they advance to the regionals and congratulations to TCR for an outsatnding season finishing 25-1.

    Scoreless in the 4th when the sky openned up and drowned the field. Questionable if they can get it back going tonight.

    What a great game between 2 equally great teams. Even with the 2 hr. 15 min. rain delay, neither team let up. This was HS baseball at it's finest. Congratulations to the Falcons and good luck to all the Wildcats.
