Please guys, take this to another thread. This was not started to discuss sour grapes. Feel free to start your own thread and leave this for scores/matchups. Thanks!!

    Great Website

    http://brackets.ihigh.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=68424&tclass=4A

Great site to look at the brackets and see results from the game. Thanks Southloop for posting this site!! Makes things easy to see and for someone who is very visual (as I am) I can actually figure out what is going on !!! :applause: :laugh1:

    Page vs Reynolds

    Wed 5/19:

    Reynolds.. 230 010 0 - 6 9 2
    Page...... 224 000 x - 8 8 ?

    WP: Adam Daufeldt

Reynolds led early, 5-4. Page then scored 4 runs in the bottom of the third to take an 8-5 lead. Hampton Foushee relieved Jay Laramore in the bottom of the 3rd, gave up 2 runs with two outs, but then held Page scoreless for the rest of the game. Adam Daufeldt relieved in the 2nd inning and pretty much shut down the Demons to earn the win. Reynolds could only score one run in the last five innings and they finish the season with two disappointing losses.

Reynold's shot themselves in the foot with two-out throwing errors in both the 2nd and 3rd innings to allow Page to score 6 of their runs.

Reynold's final season record: 18-7 (same as last year).

Good luck to Page on Friday against East Forsyth!

    Handicapping round #2: Matchups

    Athens Drive at Wakefield
Wakefield has an impressive record. It will be difficult for AD to beat them on their home turf. These teams know each other very well. It will be a war.

    Millbrook at Rose
Millbrook had a great game against Garner. They will need another to beat Rose.

    New Bern at Scotland
Who shows up for this game. New Bern has the pitching, Scotland has the hitting. If Scotland throws well, they should win. If New Bern brings their bats, they should win. Expect Tio McLean on the mound for the Scots versus possibly Joey Young or David Towarnicky. Adam Warren may be available for a late inning or two and he could make the difference in this game.

    Pinecrest at Hoggard
Pinecrest has had a good run. Hoggard has had a great run. Hoggard on top.

    Independence at S. Meck
Two great records (Indy 24-2, SM 24-3). Two good hitting teams. Two strong pitchers (TJ Worrell, SM vs Zach Farry, Indy). All the ear-marks of a great game. Must see game of the round.

    North Meck at Alexander Central
Alexander Central is very tough, particularly at home. They also have the best over-all record in the state with only 1 loss. NM is capable of pulling of the upset, but it would be an upset.

    W. Forsyth at N. Forsyth
Another top game with the best of the CPC against the best of the Metro-6. Both teams have been ranked in the top-10 at different times. The question is "who is hotter".

    E. Forsyth at Page
Great matchup of two Metro-6 foes. E Forsyth brings Ryan Basham to the mound and he can make a difference in any game. Edge .... East Forsyth.

Good job, NC...I wouldn't change a thing that you said...well, perhaps the AC vs NM game. AC will be favored .....but they haven't faced a Tom Porter. One of the smartest pitchers in Charlotte. This will be a GREAT game!!!...but Taylorsville is a tough place to play!!!!

    North Meck pitching

In my opinion, North Meck doesn't have a #1 pitcher and a #2 pitcher, they have a #1 and another #1. I'm sure they will have an exciting game tomorrow.

Ryan will miss the playoffs due to some soreness in his arm. He will take a few weeks off before hitting his summer schedule. He hates not pitching for the team but precautions are a must. He will do Dh duties throughout the playoffs!
