    remember

I can remember some years ago when we didnt have an association. now we have an all star game and Pop's is a working on our bitch list about things that need to be considered. $40.00 is nothing that the association is going to get rich with, and it costs money to fund a website, and to cover expenses. I have drug my feet about joining the association, but our head coach and i have discussed it this year, and all three coaches are joining the association, not to try to be part of the all star team, but to be able to have our voices heard about how some things really need to be changed. I believe that Pop's would have heard my suggestions anyway, but I feel that this organization needs our support in many ways, and $40.00 is just one level of support. Lets stand behind the organization, and if you dont like what your read or hear, pay up and feed the man some constructive thoughts. . . he had to start somewhere, and it can only improve with everyones input.

    Investment in the Sport

The NCFSCA is designed to promote the sport and the players that participate. It is unrealistic to assume that this program could exist without funding.

We hear about $300.00 bats and $500.00 travel ball tournament fees on this board and we are questioning a $20.00 membership fee to an organization that promotes the sport???

    As info...
    1. To win a NCAA Championship, you have to be a member of the NCAA...
which cost money to belong to...

    2. In softball, the Louisville Slugger / NFCA All Region and All American teams are voted on by members of the NFCA, not the NCAA.

The first requirement for a coach to nominate a player to be considered for an All Region team, is that he or she is a member of the NFCA.
If the head coach is not a member of the NFCA, then the kid cannot be nominated... As info... cost per year for a head coach is $110.00.

This should be a no brainer...It should also be something that the AD at your high school should support and PAY FOR!!

    imo
