    First, this thread was about State Games registration. I don't know why it was taken to a different topic.

    Second, the question asked was about a family decision. There is no right or wrong or about who understands girl's better, medals acquired or anything else. If a family decides their DD needs a break, great...she probably does. If she is hoping to be play for her region in a great opportunity...go for it.

    Many talented girls are not going to play at the next level: enjoy all your experiences. Many girls are hoping to catch a recruiters eye: State Games are a place to do that.

    But the bottom line is it's a family decision---which is unique and may differ from yours.
