State Games - Team Information by Region?

Where do you go to see the players who were selected to represent each region?

 

There may not be an official roster until the games, unless a coach posts the roster on line

I understand the underclassmen start tomorrow. Has there been any rosters posted anywhere? Region 6's?

I can't speak about last year, but in 2003 & 04 the rosters were posted on the State Games website. I checked just now & could not find the names.

As for the schedule, Wednesday is the day the kids 'showcase' for the scouts: 60 yard dash, defensive drills, 10 swings at the plate, & bullpen pitching. Each Region is assigned an hour...& they stay on schedule.

Round Robin games are Thurs, Fri & Sat. Medal games are Sunday. I know Region 5 plays Thursday afternoon at either 3:30 or 4:30.

I remember Page coach William Hardin from his high school days in Lumberton. Dude could flat out KILL a baseball. If anyone has seen Lumberton's field you know its not easy to hit it out of (typically one or two per year total). Hardin hit bombs on a routine basis. After his senior year he hit so many homers in Legion ball that opponents just started walking him every time just like Bonds. I never understood why he never got a chance in pro ball.
