The State Games of North Carolina along with the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association would like to thank District 6 Chairperson, Amanda Stefanski and her volunteers for their hard work, dedication, and long, long hours this week in hosting the State Games. A few wrinkles in working in a new place and having people at two venues for the games. Amanda and her staff somehow were able to pull it off. Thanks Amanda!!
Another special thank you to Alan Parham from NSR who this year was the public address announcer for every game played. That is quite a feat and a great effort on his part to announce all those games. All he asked is that we get him a little water now and then. Photographer Alex Rosato shot over 2000 pictures that will be edited and placed on the Coaches Association website. Alex is quite possibly the best action photographer in these parts and we are all looking forward to seeing the games played out again in his pictures. Lots of others did some field work, carried water coolers, helped pull softballs out of the water, and anything they could do to help the games runs smoothly. To those we also say thank you. Looking forward to next year and the challenges that another tournament will bring. It is a pleasure to work with these people and to be around people who care about softball and of course all of the talented players!

    Great Job Pop Rivers !!

Pop spent more time fishing out balls from the pond then he did running or coaching his team. I think they should have had personel on the job to do that sort of thing, but anyways it was a great time seeing so much talent on the field at one time !! It appered that every team gelled nicely, and the girls did an excellent time enduring the heat and rain !!:coolgleamA: Can't wait till next year !!
