East v. West

West beat the East tonight 5-3. Score was 3-2 East until the top of the ninth when the West scored three runs and took top honors. Just reporting the final because I'm way too tired to do a play by play.

 

Tyler Tewell and Sean Pope both hit HRs for Region 6 in BP, but neither competed in the HR derby.

This kid is a flat out blur running the bases. I knew he would have one of the best times.

 

Sprandon Mahoney - Whiteville High School ran a 6.5 at the Region 4 tryouts.
Michael Bass - Fairmont High school ran a 6.6 at the region 4 tryouts.
These two kids can flat out move around the bases. They are both members of the Whiteville Legion 137 baseball team this summer.
