A home run is a home run. If she clears the bases with no errors, it's a home run. It would be very hard to get an inside the parker on a 200 foot fence with no errors. With the long fences, and a gap shot, speed is great!

Great young lady, heck of a ball player and extremely supportive parents! Success usually follows!

Over the fence or over their heads.....

....matters to some folks apparently. To answer your question East, I'd say half of landons HRs have been inside the park. I'll also add that a large majority of coaches, if not all of them, back their kids up to 200+ ft. just to keep the ball in front of them. Sometimes she gets a hold of one that is in the gap but would not have gone over the fence, and other times she hits it 220 and the outfielders run it down as a routine out. Ask me if I think she is a HR hitter?, I'll say no, just another kid on that field doing her best at the plate, win or lose, thats my kind of homerun.

    thanks

Thank you for further description. best wishes w/ the Pack.

If all fences were 220 - 230', it would change the game I think, for the better. But that won't happen.

You Know What I Like About You !!!

Jeff to have one of the most athlectic kids in the state you have never come across cocky, or arrogant, you don't brag even though you could very well do so with Jeter's ability, but you are an humble guy,and Jeter acts just like you...we could all learn from Jeff, we don't have to brag to get our point across, let our kids skills do it on the field !!!

    2 things....

.....other than thank you. 1. There are many, many kids playing fastpitch who are as good, or better at what they do. There also exists a fine group of kids who give their all and maybe they don't run as fast, or throw as hard, whatever, they deserve recognition too. Hell, to me, the middle group of kids can play with anybody. It kills me to see kids who play at what I consider the "high" level, and succed, only to be passed by when recruiting stuff comes by. And BELIEVE me, I know of some awesome talent that has not been signed. Also, with respect to your post, I'm not humble....I'm 6 ft. 1, (with new shoes), 160lbs, (with long underwear and ski boots), and the best looking...........hair on a back of any newcomer in TBR. I'm waiting for the TBR calender to come out, a beach shot in August just to show off............uhhhh, on 2nd thought, maybe I should be Mr. January!
