    Butler falls to CC

    Butler Bulldogs lost 3 - 0 to Central.
    It was a great game withthe difference being in offence CC played hard and came up with key hits and plays when it was needed. We did not.
    Congrats to CC. :applause:

    Lady Cavs at it again....

    :xyzthumbs The East Rutherford Lady Cavs beat Ashe County today at ER...
    Score was 3-2. Cagney Davis was the winning pitcher for the lady cavs with 7 k's 2bb's and only allowing 1 hit. Great job Cags... The first inning the Huskies scored on a walk and a over throw to first. But the lady cavs put their foot down and said no more runs on our field. The score remained 2-0 until the botom of the fourth when junior Heather Burns hit a line shot down the first base line, Burns stole third and when the catcher overthrew to third she crossed the plate, with the score now 2-1, lady cavs defense stayed hot, the bottom of the 5th Alex Park got a single and stole second, with 2 outs 1 on freshman Lesley Brooks comes up with a double and scores Park, tieing the game up. Davis then hits one to the first basemen and gets the third out for the inning. Lady Cavs however didn't stop there, they had 3 up and 3 down, and in the bottom of the 6th Senior Nicole Guffey hits one in the gap between short and third, sending pinch runner Sara Thomas in for Guffey, and Thomas made her way to 2nd on a bunt and to 3rd on a steal, giving Junior Megan Moore the opportunity to squeeze bunt sending Thomas home for the winning run. Congrats Ladys... keep up the good work :applause: Hope to be in Raleigh next week. Good Luck to all teams!!!!! Play Hard!!!! :applause:
