    REF: Post on Players/Teams to Watch

    I had a post on Players/Teams to Watch Thread about Nicole Baxter on 3/29/04. She has lead her team through the 1A playoff games and North Lincoln is going to the 1A State Championship in Raleigh 1A may not have as many Quality players through lineup as 2A, 3A and 4A it has some Pitchers that can compete in any Division and Nicole Baxter is earning her way into this group :xyzthumbs

    North Lincoln beat Cherokee 11-0 at Cherokee, Cherryville 5-0 at Cherryville and Maiden 7-2 at Maiden. Nicole was North Lincoln's Pitcher

    I don't know that much about them, but as I recall NBrunswick knocked Camden out last year in the playoffs.

    I can't find the final poll but this is the last one I can find. Got it off another thread.

    It shows them #1 and #2 so it should be good. Camden was ranked #4 at that time so the polls were pretty accurate. Looks like North Lincoln is the Cinderella. Look at the bracket and you'll see that NL was third in the conference, but then soundly beat Cherryville and Maiden (1 and 2 in the conference) in the playoffs.

    your welcome on the Poll (last one) and NL is the cinderella team for sure.....the test for them will truely be in Raleigh! Havent seen them but CometFan Knows this team well. They definitely gelled at the right time for this first year school w/o any SRs and i for one will make a point to see them next weekend. wish i had the link for the article the local gaston gazette had on the NL/Maiden game to share with you but its a paid fishwrap!
    hope you plan the trip to Raleigh!
