    Jake Harris (12-0)

Interesting question. He does most of the heavy-lifting for Millbrook, but remember, two days later (May 28th) the Eastern Championship 3-game series begins. Millbrook's #2, which I guess is Brian Lincoln, will probadly get the start. Also, Justin Abbott, has thrown alot of innings for Millbrook. You may see everybody, because there's no tomorrow! Regardless, if Millbrook wins, we'll see their entire pitching staff next weekend.

Youd better have Johnny Wholestaff ready at this point in the playoffs, because it is survive and advance!! Millbrook very talented and well coached. Good luck Millbrook!!

All these games are must win games for everybody so I would not be surprised if Jake was on the hill. What the local paper wrote and people at the game said is that he was tiring in the 7th vs Apex. I don't know what his pitch count was. I do know Jake is a competitor and he finished the Apex game and got the job done. I am sure Jake will do whatever it takes to get the "W". Millbrook beat Sanderson twice this year in the CAP 7 with Jake pitching CG's in each win; 3-2 and 3-0.

i would expect to see Harris for at least 3 innings

I was at the Apex game and he did get tired in the 6th, but "getting tired" is relative to who's pitching; some get tired and fall off completely, some get tired and fall off a little -- Harris fell off little. His velocity started waning after the 5th, but his stuff was still good. Then in the 6th and 7th, he started missing spots (again relative as he was "spot on" all night) and walked a couple.

They should bring him back for a few innings on Tuesday. For a few innings, whether it is the beginning of the game or end, nobody will touch him. He's a quality pitcher.

As a neutral party, I dont think the boy was tired at all...physically at least (my educated guess was he finished around 115-120 pitches) . Actually his emotions may have gotten the best of him in the 7th , he started trying to work very fast ... and the more the Apex coach tried to slow him down, it got under his skin, which didn't help.

But I really enjoyed watching him, a very nice talent...

So you coaches out there, assuming he did throw 115-120 on Friday ... what's his max for Tuesday ?

It would depend on the kid. But I can't imagine him being very effective. I'd hold him out as long as I could, but I'm not going to have my stud on the bench and lose the last inning

According to the paper (http://www2.hickoryrecord.com/conte...es-past-fred-t-foard/sports-high_school_prep/), McKinney felt something pop and go numb. Instead of leaving the game, he was moved to LF. :huh2:

    Any update on his condition?
