I believe the "polls" are a joke. It is more of a popularity contest based on anyone with a computer voting for their team. East Wilkes has won less than 5 games all season and they are suppose to be a top ten team.
Where is the team that has won the last three straight state titles North Brunswick? I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

 

they serve their purpose and its hit or miss in some classifications. Coaches have a responsiblity here not us Fans!!!!

we shall see in just over a month who is #1 in Raleigh so good luck to all teams and enjoy the polls and the results coming in till the Final Rankings are posted in June!

 

Thanks Cf,it's always interesting to know where the best softball is being played and how teams stack up in the state.

 

I agree, that they can serve their purpose, but anyone with a computer can vote, the polls do not represent a true ranking system. I hope that the members of the coaches association take the steps neccessary to fix this problem.

 

I would love for it to be as close to accurate as possible. But, my hats off to the people who have made it happen when it was going to not happen at all. Behind the scenes work is never appreciated or acknowledged. Thanks for the sponors of the website site and to CFBall for compiling the numbers. Does he agree with some of the teams....probably not but guess what? It sure is interesting to read and speculate. I have only voted on those teams that I truly know are worthy of the top 10...I have not even voted in the 2A or 1A because I do not know those teams. As more coaches come online and vote then I am sure that CFBall can block access to the voting to those without a password. But, you know it might be interesting to see two polls. Those of us who might be inclined to vote with some partiality and another poll restricted to the coaches and media. Then see who ends up in Raleigh....CFBAll? possible?

 

definitely understood and i think we have spoken about this recently and its obiviously Not the version we want for next year. think the association, its members and others will agree, first year organization.........growing pains happen. programs havent been set up, database info and numerous other items arent ready for prime time and are being addressed.

Note (not for you FP Super): The members of the association are coaching now, have families, committments with church and community and getting it Back(website/poll, etc) to where it was last year with IHigh... just isnt going to happen overnight!

 

Not sure what you are saying....The coaches aren't voting because of other commitments?
