    UNDEFEATED STING WIN RIP-IT TOURNAMENT

They don't call it Rip-It for nothing because the Sting was definitely ripping it the weekend of November 10 in Cumming, Georgia. This elite tournament sponsored by Rip-It bat featured 21 of Georgia's finest teams in the 16U age bracket. The Sting played on Saturday defeating the E. Cobb Maddogs 4-0, Georgia Crusaders 10-0 and the Georgia Sparks 13-2. Sunday was a very long action packed day starting with a victory over Georgia Extreme of 3-0 and moved on to defeat the Atlanta Vipers (Terry) 4-1 and the Atlanta Vipers (Black) 7-0. Determined not to play an "if" game the Sting had to battle against a hard hitting Georgia Impact but the Sting also proved to be hard hitting and prevailed in this final game with a victory of 7-5. I couldn't begin to mention all the fabulous plays that were made but no one will forget the TRIPLE play the Sting made against the Maddogs, the great diving catches in the outfield and an awesome infield. On the offensive side several Sting players were bouncing balls off of the 225 foot fences at beautiful Central Park. The Sting received TWO ( 2) Rip-It bats and individual CHAMPIONSHIP T-Shirts for winning this tournament. Although we got to the ballfield at 7:15 Sunday morning and did not leave until 9:30 Sunday night it was worth every minute of it to end our season with championships in every tournament since moving to 16U!!!

Change up2 the 92 East Cobb Bullets team with all the big girls you talked about Saturday were playing in Dalton, GA at Heritage Park. There was a exposure tournament that had several of the A teams that were moving up from 14A in it. EC Bullets won the tournament. Georgia Impact Black was there as well and were a top performing team in ASA Nationals in 07.

Dalton's Heritage Park has the best facility I have seen in Georgia.

If you ever get a chance to play in Dalton you will enjoy it. Congratulations your team looked really good this weekend!!
