Stretchy is a baseball icon in the state of NC. He has done alot of great things for amateur baseball, but he reached a point in his life that he was seeking something different. Something that could give him the satisfaction that baseball has.

Well, after many months of contemplating his next venture, he ran across a thread that garnered his attention. After consulting with me, I hooked him up with an acquaintance and his new adventure was born. He bought out Haskell Willingham's fishing camp for next to nothing and he has become a fishing guide for Grouper at Santee Cooper. I didn't have the heart to tell him that grouper is not found in those lakes, but he is having such a great time....what the heck.

Stretchy asked me if I would announce his new endeavor and to offer all members of TBR a discount when booking a trip with him. His contact website is fishingw/stretchyonabudget.com

Here he is having a blast

Some of you guys did not know that Stretchy was a professional ballplayer at one time. For those that know Stretchy, they know he always does things a little different.

During his professional days, his pitching was...well....unorthodox. When he would release the ball, Stretchy would spin like a top. It would confuse batters. While they were trying to concentrate on his release point, they couldn't help watching him go round and round and round.

The concern for Stretchy was his defense. If a ball was hit up the middle it could catch him in between spins. So he went to a bigger glove. I just so happen to have saved that bubble gum card of Stretchy's. I just need to get it autographed.

The last project that I know that he's been working on is his new ATV invention. He designed this machine to go over a mountain, but at near record speeds. It can do just about anything; from drag racing to hunting...and it seats up to 15 people.

For those that are interested in acquiring one of Stretchy's snowmobile/drag racer/ATV you can contact him at stretchysneedforspeed.com

That story is not true. Actually, he was fired shortly after that picture was taken. He was told to park the cars outside the stadium.

Thank god Richard has a great sense of humor....plus I owed him for his McDonald's post.

I love that baseball picture, though. He needs to blow that one up and hang it in his office.
