    UNC:

What 07's from the Dirtbag's did you like? I only saw one game this weekend and maybe you can give us an update of what the future looks like.

I saw the first game on Saturady and the last game on Sunday. The Dirtbags 17U showed lots of talent that was almost compariable to the older team. In the first game Greg Holt started and threw two innings. I think that I saw on one scouts gun that he hit 91. He also hit homerun in his first at-bat that was pretty far. Also Ryan Leach(Kings Mountian HS) played great defensively making a great diving stop up the middle. Tyler Hanover(East Forsyth HS) had two doubles and lead the dirtbag team with 3 hits. He also played good defence. An 06 that played good was C.J Beaty(Glen HS). I dont know where he is looking to go to school can anybosy tell me. He made a great throw from the 315 sign all the way on a lne to home plate. He also added two hits. In the last game, the two 17U teams faced off. Once again Greg Holt hit a two run homerun in the first inning. I asked one of the parents and said that he hit 3 homeruns in 3 games. He also added a RBI double late in the game. Tyler Hanover also add another 3 hit game. Jason Wallace made a great divign catch down the left field line. C.J Beaty added with a screaming line drive off of the center field fence. The younger dirtbags team was very strong showing good talent by Tyler Smith, Zeke Blanton, Tyler Wood, Derek Funk. From what I could tell this was a very good showcase. I this there were about 20 or 25 professional and college scouts there. They class of 07 look pretty strong for the future:trophy:

    US Junior National Team

TC Roberson RHP, Josh Thrailkill, was the winning pitcher today for Team USA against Puerto Rico in the first game of the Junior Pan Am Games in Villahermosa, Mexico. Thrailkill started the game and pitched 5 innings allowing one earned run in the 7-1 victory. The JNT team plays defending champion Cuba on Sunday.

I wish more people would realize what an honor this is. For Josh to represent our country and our state and then goes out and pitches a whale of a game...well...that's awesome!
