Summer HS leagues

    It's a major reason why Legion baseball is not as strong as it could be in the Triangle.

    Luckily for us, in our area the younger players stick with Junior Legion. HS coaches are not trying to compete.

    On a related note, we have a HS coach with a young travel team. Several of those players are with the Legion during the week and the other during the weekend. We're wondering if he's going to try to keep that team together and siphon those players from the Senior Legion.

    Unlike Rocky Mount and perhaps others, you're either with the Wayne County Senior Legion team or you're not. No taking off on the weekends.
