    The SC Panthers did look good this past weekend, as well as both Heat teams. I was very impressed by the players from both organizations. Can't wait to see the On Deck O's 09s, alot of good players on that team also.

    I was impressed with quite a few of the teams that played last weekend in the Heat Memorial Day Tournament. SC Panthers looked very impressive as did both of the U17 Heat teams. I was also very impressed at the quality of play of the U16 Heat team and now know where the young prospect from Hopewell High School (Hunter May) is playing. He opened the Heat U16 season against the Maryland team throwing 58 pitches in 5 innings giving up only 1 hit, not to bad for a 14 year old, keep your eye on this one as he grows into his 6'1" frame. Also keep a close watch on catcher (Chris Fine) out of Morganton's Freedom High School, great defensive skills behind the plate, a cannon for an arm and tremendous power at the plate, a joy to watch him work and I'm sure a real treat to throw to as a pitcher.

    What about the Dirtbags? They have to be the best in North Carolina. With some of the guys that they have. That team is always good

    I agree 3-2, Chris Fine is an excellent catcher......... Is he a sophomore?

    will have four teams this year. The 07 team will play a few tournements. The 08, 09 and the 10's.

    Things get underway this weekend at App State on Friday night at 8:30 when the 08 Dirtbags take on Wautauga. The tournement will run Friday Saturday and Sunday.
