Has anyone heard anything on any of the SW4A teams? I think everyone is excited to get conference ball started. I think the SW4A has the strongest competition out of any conference in the state.

It would be difficult to argue that, Gambit. Since most of the posts revolve around the traditional powers....I'd like to mention a particular school that gets little notice.

Waddell .... I hope nobody goes to sleep playing against this team. Their core players ( David Desilva, Carl Krimminger, Jay Neil, Brad Ryan and Rod Gray) have played together, competing against other's varsity team, for 3 years. They are experienced, relaxed and ready to upset any team not bringing their "A" game.

Carl and Brad are more than capable of pitching a competitive game. David Desilva is an All Meck 3rd baseman last year and Jay Neil and Rod Gray have some pop in their bats.

Coach McMurray is a great coach...getting the max from his players. He needs Adam Schirra to elevate his pitching performance this year for them to make any moves up the Conference ladder. I wish the Raiders well!!!

The Sabres have a new transfer, but definately not new to the area. Jonathan Ratledge is now attending South Meck and we are excited to have him. He adds depth in the outfield, probably will be pitching, but has a terrific powerful bat. This is just another postive notch in the belt of the Sabres that will take them that much further in their quest for the Conference, and State Championship! Welcome Jonathan and GO SABRES!!

The team at Butler was shot in the foot by three starters last week.
They will not be able to play for 30 days starting Feb. 16.

I hate to hear that. Butler is one team that is scary!!! But they can't afford to miss any starters. At least they will be in good shape for most of the conference games and certainly the tournament.

Nostradumas--- can you give us some feedback what the starting pineup should look like....include players taking a 30 day vacation :)...but please don't single them out.

It's great to see Brad back in the fray after missing last year with his knee injury.

What are the other teams looking like? Last I heard South Meck is dropping out of the SW4A in order to join the ACC. Of course it could have just been a rumor. Either way it looks like they are going to have some really good players sittin the bench due to the depth over there. Doesnt look like there are too many spots open.

:evil3: That's a great assessment wad .... probably more truth in that than what you think ... does this mean that the rest of the SW4A is going down the :toilet: ... I can't wait to hear Braves sandbagging efforts over this one... he'll try (unsucessfully) to deflect attention away from his powerhouse :scatter: but the magic disappearing act just won't work.

    South Meck, pre-season #1 in the SW4A.
Providence is the brides- :kisser: -maid this year in pre-season.

'Course, they gotta play the games.

    POPS at it again!

Hey Braves: POPS is at it again by trying to sand bag the talent rich North Meck Vikings. North has at least six junior year pitchers that colleges have intrest in already. Porter, Peirce, Rosenbaum, Allen, Parks and McAuley. They also have great team speed and defense! If they can develop into a team and hit the ball it could be a great season for this talented group!
