    ncbballfan is correct ... we may pontificate - speculate - prognosticate, but the players have to take the field and play the game.

    in 2003 south had a fine team as well. but they seemed to play TIGHT in big games. we'll see how the 2004 season goes!

    and then look at myers park last year ... they seemed to handle the pressure and that's a BIG edge in close games.

    whatever happens ... i'm anxious to see high school baseball games again!

    With their senior leadership it's unlikely.

    I agree with every statement in this post. Last year SM team did not seem to have player leadership....I doubt that will be a problem this year.

    Myers Park did lose some pretty strong players, but I like Logan Smith, JJ Rollins, Tim Kramer, Jason Kennell and Ryan Cook's leadership also...they have a good mix of experienced players.

    It won't be long before......"play ball"!
