Prov. vs winner of Weddington / Independence Game

Butler vs Ardrey Kell at 7PM

Both games will be at Butler H.S.
Lets hope the weather holds out again.
The champonship game will be at UNCC softball complex on Monday May 7th at 7PM.

any clue on the indy weddington outcome?

 

Weddington defeated Independence 20-0 in 3 innings.

They looked very good. Course I'm biased as a few of my travel kids were playing.

Providence vs. Weddington today @ 5:00pm

Semi finals

Weddington won an eight inning thriller against Prov. 2 to 1 on a walk off Home Run by Allie Cashion (sp?). Butler won their half of the double bill by a 6 to 0 score over Adrey Kell.

So it will be Weddington and Butler at UNCC Monday at 7PM for the Conf. Tournament championship. Its a replay of 2006. Wonder what the outcome will be this year. Weddington is much improved over last year, with two strong pitchers, good "D" and a strong lineup with Allie Cashion always being a threat to go yard. But the 2007 Bulldogs counter with possibly the best hitting team in the schools history and with Ward on the mound they are always tough to beat.

How was game tonight?

Ray, the folks up here would like to know how your game was tonight against Aurdrey Kell? Was it a tough game or heard it was pretty good. Your thoughts

 

Rotation for end of the year tourney's

Conferences determine prior to any sport starting where the conference tourney's will be held. I believe there is a requirement that each school host at least one conference tourney is one sport.

Ex. Last 2 years Piedmont hosted softball due to nice facitilities. This year it is at Sun Valley starting Wednesday since Piedmont is hosting another sport (may be baseball this year, could be tennis, cross country, etc)

Each AD is asked for reasons they should host. It may be a bit about politics, but the reason the teams want the tourney is for concession money and gate money. Lights is a big reason also. I think everyone in our conference has lights, not sure about Anson though...

 

Ak is a strong program. K Lang can keep you off balance and mixes speed, movement and location very well Just prepare fora a good contest and bring your "A" game when you play them Then hope for the best.
