South Meck and Garinger probably the favorites, both teams return key players from last year. Butler also had a decent team, very small though.

SOUTH WILL BE HARD TO BEAT

 South Meck is the team to beat. With 3 girls over 6ft, one playing the 3 spot and who is being heavily recruited by the best in the US. Theyre sophomore pg, I saw her play this summer, she looks A LOT better than she did last year. Still favors her right side but plays the point better than she did last year. They have 2 new girls from different state. I only heard one of them was pretty good.

Garinger will have Hailey. She is unstoppable. I really dont think the Hollis girl or Holmes girl is a threat. All they do is shoot. Hollis is a pretty good driver but she can be stopped.

As long as your team has some GOOD guards and legit post players, you will beat Garinger.

    SW4A Predictions

The kid you are referring to is Joy Cheek. She is considered the best if not one of the best in the state. She is being recruited by practically everyone in the US from the east to the west, north and south. Garanger beat them twice last year due to inconsistant guard play, the inability to handle a press and to some respect a lack of good coaching and preparation. Give Garanger some credit though. They were beaten by South by about 11 or 12 points the first game and won by margins of 2 and 3 after that. They doubled and tripled Cheek and forced the others to play beyond their ability. With more experience, more athleticism and hopefully lessons learned from past mistakes the outcome may change. Garanger will not lie down though. These girls may be mentally tougher. I saw them play McDowell and they had no answer for Atkinson who I also feel is the best in the state and McDowell was better coached and prepared. In fact, it looked like a home game with all the McDowell fans there!
