First a correction to the posted SW4A records -- Olympic is 5-5 in conference with 4 left -- Prov, Myers Park, Waddell and Garinger. If they take care of business against Waddell and Garinger and pull off 1 big upset, that's 8-6.

Let's see, South is 7-4 with 3 left -- Myers Park, Butler and Providence. Still not over -- good thing South beat Olympic twice...

Here's how I see it -- Braves check this out with Methusda --

East is a lock to get to 10 wins -- pretty good schedule left (Waddell, Garinger, Providence, South and Myers Park).

MP has a tougher schedule but only needs one more win to get to 10 -- a win over either Butler or Olympic will do it (they also have South and East left).

Providence gets to 9 wins easily and needs only a win over Olympic to get to 10 (Waddell, Garinger, Olympic and South remain).

So South has to win all 3 remaining conference games to get into the top 3 in the conference. I predict they'll get it together and get it done.

Here's my predicted order of finish -- MP 12-2, East Meck 11-3, Providence 10-4, South 10-4, Olympic 7-7. Butler 6-8.

Butler and Olympic can prove me wrong and really make it a fun finish. I hope they do. :D

Looks to me like the Myers Park v East Meck game on Monday May 5 could determine the regular season championship. (My free "expert" tip for Coach Greeson -- go with Fulginiti -- check out the MP performance against the Cental Caburrus lefty in the Sink tourney.)

That leads me to another possible topic for another thread -- where are all the left handed pitchers? Fulginiti has been strong, and now Josey is back for Butler, but there just aren't many lefties getting innings.

    Ain't this fun?

    Interesting little tidbit there....

only thing about the tip is that fulginiti is a righty, ans i don't believe east has any lefties at the varsity level

My bad -- I've obviously received some incorrect information.

For my fellow greenies who think I'm being a traitor -- this Myers Park team needs to face some quality left handed pitching before the state tournament...

Well, you better hope the greenies from MPeenies don't face Kevin Spain on Tuesday

The Tuesday game with Myers Park is a must win for South...if they do..they may run the table....if they lose...Olympic will be #4 with the Conference Championship left to determine if Team 4 gets bumped
