Yep, that's why HS baseball is so fun. On any given day.......

In my opinion, team chemistry plays an even bigger role than at any other level. I'm not suggesting that is a problem at Providence. In fact, I've heard the opposite is true. But I have witnessed some extremely talented teams collapse due to infighting, jealousies and finger pointing. Senior leadership is so important in HS.

    providence

Providence isn't ranked as high as they for no reason. they have talent and lots of it. they have a great group of seniors and they are the most modest kids you will ever meet. along with that they have a great coach that will keep them focused and set on the goal at task. it should be alot of fun to watch them play this year.

    You go to have pitching!!!!!!!!

With this team having no seniors, it will make it tough on them. But, Bagwell is Bagwell, and I expect them to beat teams that most thought wouldn't happen.

I saw Providence in their first scrimmage today....the sticks looked good. If the pitching holds up they are going to be hard to handle.

I agree, I was at the second game, (damn it was cold) the sticks are alive at Providence.

    Scrimmage

OK, Philly Dave and DBacks give us a break down on the scrimmage. How did Providence look? How about the other teams also?

DCL as Philly Dave said it was coldddddd...:cold: :cold: :cold: I didn't take my hands out of my pockets long enough to write any stats down.

I only saw the first game and Providence looked solid both offensively and very solid defensively...pitching was very good as well for the first scrimmage game....

I think offensively they will cause a lot of pitchers to have some sleepless nights...there is a sophmore (sorry, didn't get the name) that was hitting in front of Mailman in the first game...this kid can "mash"...he hit a bomb out of dead centerfield that looked effortless...next at bat he hit a shot over the left field fence that he just pulled foul...he and Mailman almost went back to back when Mailman followed the next shot to the right centerfield warning track.

If they can maintain the arms on the mound they will be tough to handle each week....

Sorry about not getting more names, I will be smart enough to take my gloves next time.:cold:
