Ok DCL, I did not know that West Stanly was missing some starters due to basketball and one pitcher out of town so that probably would have made a difference. East did score 11 or 12 runs off the USF signee Matt Reid, but he could have been having an off day. We will see how the game on Wednesday will turn out. Should be a better ball game this time around.

 

Well the East Rowan/West Stanly game will be nonconference so I'm sure neither will throw their better pitchers,,, nevertheless there will be a lot of talent on the field and 2 great coaches going at it. Should be fun to watch, but I wouldn't put too much stock into who wins a nonconference game. Btw, for those who have never been to West Stanly HS, they have a beeeeutiful little baseball park.

 

West Stanly/ East Rowan

ROCO, I really do not think it is going to change much, way too much talent and tradition on the East Rowan side. I hope West can keep it close. East did hit Matt Reed well last time, I was not there to know if he had an off day or not. He is I believe 6-0 now and has thrown very well for West Stanly this year. I hope we hit the ball better than we did at the East Rowan Scrimmage or it could be another lopsided score like it was last time. I do not know who Marko is throwing as they have a big conference game on Friday against South Stanly. Tuesday's game against CATA should be a cake walk but who knows, like I said you play the game on the field.
TJ, you need to come and see the battle of the Little's at West Stanly on Friday. I am sure there will be some brotherly love displayed. Yeah we are proud of the old ballpark and we have added a new building for the baseball team. It's a pretty nice setup for us guys down in Stanly County.
