oh yes if their Pitcher, Deanna Ledbetter can contiune to keep them off balance and they remain aggressive at the plate. Deanna had shoulder surgery this past August and is just now getting into shape, IMO. see the article link i posted or go to www.shelbystar.com
    and click on Sports.
Crest record is 10-16 overall and only have one quality pitcher.....so it should be interesting with all those Indian Hitters from SSHS if Dee can throw back to back to back complete games against some goooood teams!

Camp got run over & no interference was called. You can ask the player that ran into her (did not intentionally run into her!) but she knows that she should have been called out. That is not what beat KMHS. The two errors we committed on the next play beat us also the slow pitching also kept us off balance all game!!!!!!

The thing that gets me is that the base umpire called her out & the the plate umpire came out & overrulled her saying it was incidential contact.

Game is at 7:00pm at KMHS.

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :xyzthumbs

 regardless, its interference but if Pam was the homeplate umpire, she is pretty sharp on the rules but that still doesnt rule out, she may have been Wrong on this one.

question: one of those errors counted against KM, BB's tipping the linedrive hit above her head was an error??

No CF, not BB. The error at first & home. When first base threw it home & ball was dropped allowing second run to score.

    Blown call?

I talked to Pam, the homeplate umpire again tonight and she still stands by her call! She said the shortstop was backing up to field the ground ball and the runner was doing every thing in her power to avoid contact so there was no runner interference. I personally feel like that no matter how hard the runner tries to avoid contact, she can not touch the fielder when making a play and should be called out. She hit the shortstop so hard, time had to be called for several minutes until the pain stopped. Pam said she would make the same call again. Oh yeah, CanAmMan, the field umpire said she never called the runner out!! What a cop out!! Oh well, as CanAmMan said, that is not what lost the game. The 3rd baseman for Crest played an unbelievable game against KM. Tonight against St. Stephens, she had the same opportunities and did not make those plays. St. Stephens won the championship 3-2 and will represent the SWFH conference as the #2 seed.

St. Stephens SWFH Conference Tournament Champs

St. Stephens won the tournament tonight 3-2. Amber Clontz started the game and Crest scored 2 runs on her and led most of the game. Taylor Queen came in and set the Chargers down in order over the last 5 innings giving up only one hit. Deanna Ledbetter pitched most of the game for the Chargers and was relieved after a bases loaded walk put the Indians in the lead. Collette Roberts finished the game for the Chargers.
